A teenager has been charged with second-degree murder in the stabbing of a man in what police say was a domestic dispute at a Wilmington home.
Authorities said 32-year-old Martin Yakimovich was attacked around 11 p.m. Friday and died a short time later at the hospital.
Investigators say Yakimovich got into an argument with 19-year-old Shelby Lentz before he was stabbed. Authorities say Lentz ran from the home after the attack, but later turned himself into police.
Lentz told WECT-TV (http://bit.ly/KpGoSI ) in an interview from jail that he stabbed Yakimovich in self-defense and to protect a third person. He says he didn't want to kill Yakimovich, but it was his only choice because of the threat.
