Washington Teacher Wins $1 Million In Lottery

An assistant pre-K teacher in Washington says she plans to buy a house after winning a million dollars this past weekend.

Brenda Corprew bought her winning ticket Saturday morning at the Stop N Go On Park Drive in Washington. She was alone in her rental home when she scratched off the first ticket and discovered how much she won.

"After I saw that $1 million, it was like an explosion," she said. "It was a dream come true." She was the first player to win in the lottery's new $4,000,000 Gold Bullion game.

Corprew has chosen to take the $600,000 cash option, which will net her $408,000 after taxes.

A renter for the past seven years, Corprew says she and her husband now plan to buy a house.
