Warmer Air On the Way To Eastern Carolina

High pressure along the North Carolina coast will move offshore Wednesday allowing warmer air to move into the area. Winds will become southerly during the day as highs reach the middle to upper 60s. We may see temperatures drop slightly on Thursday but a longer siege of warm weather will arrive just in time for the weekend. In fact, we will likely see high temperatures into the lower 70s by Saturday and Sunday. We may see a few sprinkles or light showers late Thursday into Friday but most locations will remain dry through the upcoming weekend.
