Two Killed In Motorcycle Wreck In Wilson County

We're working to get details about a motorcycle crash in the east that claimed the lives of two people.

Troopers believe a man ran a stop sign and ran into an oncoming car in Wilson County. The Wilson Times reports 36-year-old Robert Underwood of Wilson and 31-year-old Danyell Sanders of Sharpsburg were killed Saturday night outside of Elm City.

The Highway Patrol estimates the motorcycle hit a Toyota Corolla going between 60 and 70 miles an hour, according to the paper. Both were wearing helmets, and troopers do not think Underwood was under the influence.
