UPDATE: Troopers Identify Victims Killed In Crash On Way To The Beach

Troopers say a man and woman were killed in a crash in Craven County as they were headed to the beach Wednesday night with a car full of people including a 6-year-old boy.

Trooper J. A. Magana tells WITN about 6:40 p.m. Wednesday the driver of the car failed to yield the right of way on Ferry Road as he tried to turn left onto Highway 101 and was hit by a pickup headed in the opposite direction.

The driver is identified as 21-year-old Jun Thang. The passenger who was killed is identified as 50-year-old Klass Dohn.

Several others were taken to the hospital, including 6-year-old Dah Ke, 34-year-old Lian Mang, Shi Lay, and Sun Aye. Troopers did not have ages on the last two.

The Victims are from New Bern.

Trooper Magana says the two people killed were not related to each other or the boy in the car.

The 2 men in the truck were not injured.

No charges will be filed.
