A man is recovering from injuries he sustained when he was hit by a car while riding his bicycle in Farmville Thursday night.

The Highway Patrol says Stephen Hardy-Braz of Farmville was hit on Stantonsburg Road near Wesley Church Road in just before 8:00 p.m. They say Kristen Haddock of Farmville tried to pass him in a Jeep SUV and clipped his arm with her passenger side mirror. Hardy-Braz was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Haddock is charged with failing to reduce speed to avoid colliding with a vehicle.
