UPDATE: Charges Filed In Fatal Highway 43 Motorcycle Crash

State troopers say they charged a Washington woman who they say caused a fatal accident this weekend.

Brian Bowden of New Bern was killed when his motorcycle collided with a car driven by 20-year-old Angela Heath of Washington. The crash happened Sunday on Highway 43, north of Vanceboro.

Troopers say Heath turned left off of Wilmar Road into the motorcycle driver's path. Heath is charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.

Highway Patrol out of Craven County is investigating an accident they say killed the rider of a motorcycle when a car pulled out in front of him.

Trooper M.A. Riggs says that the accident happened on Highway 43 at the intersection of Wilmar Road, about 5 miles north of Vanceboro.
Officials say that 41-year-old Brian Bowden of New Bern was killed when his motorcycle collided with a passenger car driven by 20-year-old Angela Heath of Washington.

Troopers say that Bowden was heading north on Highway 43 when Heath turned left off of Wilmar Road into the motorcycle drivers path. We’re told that Bowden died at Vidant Medical Center.

Trooper Riggs says that charges are pending in the accident.

This is the second accident in a week on Highway 43 that has resulted in a death. Last Sunday, Troopers say 2 men were killed, and 2 were injured in a head on collision about a mile north of Vanceboro.
