A traffic stop in one local town leads to a felony drug arrest of one man and police are still searching for a second person who fled the scene.
Bethel police arrested Travis Spruill during a routine traffic stop after they say they found 73 individually wrapped doses of crack cocaine and several bags containing large amounts of cocaine. Police say Spruill attempted to flee, but was apprehended.
They say another occupant in the vehicle did get away and police are still searching for that person. Spruill is charged with possession with intent to sell, resisting and delaying a public officer, among other charges.
Spruill is under a 30,000 dollar bond and being held at the Pitt County Detention Center.
