Three People Wanted In Back-To-Back Crimes

Three people are wanted in an armed robbery and home invasion and authorities say the same people committed both crimes.

Pitt County sheriff's deputies say a home on Allen Gay Road near Farmville was the first target. The homeowner, who only wanted to go by her first name Nita, says two men kicked in her front door around 1:15 a.m. on Wednesday. Nita says her mother and three small children were home when it happened.

"I had just laid the baby down to go to sleep and I was sitting on the couch," says Nita. "Two guys busted in my door, kicked down my door and one of them was waving a gun around demanding money."

Deputies say one of the suspects has been identified as D'Wone Moss. Warrants have been obtained on Moss for first-degree burglary and armed robbery, but his location is unknown.

Officials are still trying to identify the other two suspects, but say the trio also robbed a motorist changing a tire at the intersection of NC 121 and Kittrell Hill Road, just 10 miles from Nita's home.

If anyone has information on these crimes, they're asked to call (252) 830-4141.
