A Rocky Mount teen is charged with drunk driving after a fatal accident Saturday night in Edgecombe County.
The Highway Patrol says Melissa Stellman was traveling down Davistown-Mercer Road around 6:55 p.m. when her vehicle collided with a motorcycle heading north.
The motorcyclist, 34-year-old Chris Taylor of Whitakers, was killed. After hitting the motorcycle, Stellman's car ran off the road and overturned. The 19-year-old was taken to Vidant Medical Center for her injuries, along with two other passengers in her car.
Stellman is also charged with failure to yield and troopers say other charges are pending.
