An accident Monday morning seriously injured a Greenville man.
The Highway Patrol says 23- year-old John Phillips was traveling south on Old River Road near Highway 264 around 5:30 this morning.
They believe he was going 85 miles per hour in a 50 mile per hour zone, when he swerved off the road, hit a ditch and flipped multiple times.
Troopers say his car hit a wire fence and snapped a utility pole in half. Phillips was thrown from his Dodge truck and found in serious condition.
The Highway Patrol says charges are pending against Phillips.
