Erin Saunders from A.H. Bangert Elementary School in Craven County is the Teacher Of The Week for November 21.
Erin graduated from East Carolina University in 2005. She has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Reading certification in grades K-12. Her teaching career began as a Triad-enrichment teacher serving grades Kindergarten through Fifth grade.
Erin says while working with multiple grade levels was a challenge, it helped her discover that second grade was the perfect fit for her. She is currently in her seventh year of teaching second grade and can’t imagine doing anything else.
Erin says each day is an adventure and her students continuously amaze her with their capacity for caring and their excitement for learning.
