Suspect In Craven County Break-In Admits To Being Habitual Felon

A habitual felon will spend at least the next two-and-a-half years in prison.

Craven County District Attorney Scott Thomas says 39-year-old Bruce Baez of Havelock pled guilty to conspiracy to commit breaking and entering.

Between January 2012 and January 2014, there were several break-ins in the Twinwood Drive neighborhood of Havelock.

Baez was developed as a suspect and while under surveillance, police caught Baez taking an Xbox from a home.

Baez has felony convictions in both New Jersey and North Carolina.

He will serve between 33 and 52 months in prison.
