Hot conditions will develop across eastern Carolina on Thursday. Afternoon highs will hit the upper 80s to lower 90s inland, with lower 80s along the beaches. Isolated storms may develop late in the afternoon or evening as a cold front slowly moves southward into our area. The front will push to our south by Friday followed by partly cloudy skies and slightly cooler conditions. Afternoon highs will drop into the lower 80s for Friday afternoon.
