Record Cold This Morning; Milder Air To Follow

High pressure will move offshore Thursday afternoon shifting the winds to a warmer southwesterly flow. Afternoon highs will hit the middle 50s under sunny skies. The warming trend will continue into the weekend with highs reaching well into the 60s to low 70s by Sunday.

Some clouds and isolated showers will dot the region by late Friday into early Saturday. Another vigorous cold front will cross the area early next week bringing showers on Monday followed by much colder air.
