A 16-year-old student has been arrested after deputies say they made a bomb threat to schools in Martin County this morning.
The school system says the caller did not specify which school in the county the bomb was located, so as a precaution all of the county schools were evacuated and checked by law enforcement.
Nothing was found in any of the schools, and classes have resumed.
Charged with making a false bomb threat to a public building is Tyree Williams of Williamston.
With the help of the 911 Center, deputies were able to develop leads to a geographic location where the call was made, and eventually the cell phone which made the call was found.
The 16-year-old was jailed on a $50,000 bond and has a June 11th court date.
