If you tried to get election results on the state's website Tuesday night, you were probably a bit frustrated.
On Wednesday, the North Carolina State Board of Elections apologized for problems with its new elections results reporting system. After using a vendor for years to maintain its website, the elections board recently moved the responsibilities for programming the site into the agency.
Tuesday's primaries were the first election using that new system and it resulted in some inaccuracies. Josh Lawson with the Board of Elections says programming issues led to errors in reporting.
Officials say though the initial displays were incorrect, the raw vote totals were not affected.
