Students Learn About Space At Dixon Elementary

Some local elementary schoolers will get a taste of what it's like to be in space Monday.

Students at Dixon Elementary School in Onslow County Monday will have the chance to chat with astronauts who are abroad the International Space Station as the ISS passes overhead.

Commander Koichi Wakata will answer questions about living and working in space.

Dixon Elementary will be the fourth school in our state to have this unique opportunity in the last 8 years.
