Showers Into Wednesday Then Clearing Skies Across Eastern Carolina

Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are likely over eastern Carolina overnight. A cold front will push into the area by late tonight causing some moderate to heavy rainfall in some locations. Rainfall should average between a half and one inch before it ends on Wednesday evening. Skies will clear Wednesday night followed by mostly sunny skies for Thursday and Friday. Afternoon highs will be in the lower to middle 80s Wednesday and middle to upper 80s both Thursday and Friday.
