The Dare County Sheriff's Office shut down part of Colington Road in Kill Devil Hills Friday morning while they searched for a gunman.
Officials used K-9 units to search for a person responsible for shooting at TJ's Gas and Grill Friday morning. Sheriff Doug Doughtie requested people stay away from that area and advised parents not to send their children to bus stops or ride their bikes to school.
There were no injuries in the shooting. The store was closed at the time of the shooting. Deputies have interviewed several people, and the search for the shooter continues.
Officials reopened Colington Road and say their investigation continues.
