Wet Start To The Week

The rain associated with the warm front that passed over eastern Carolina early Monday morning continues to come down across the area. There have been some periodic breaks in the showers, and those will become more prevalent as we head in to the evening hours. Temperatures have benefited from the warm air being pushed in by southwesterly winds, rising to the mid 60s in the afternoon.

The rainy conditions will be put on pause on Tuesday, only to continue again throughout the day on Wednesday. High temperatures will drop to the low 50s Wednesday as a cold front moves over the region.

The rest of the week will be sunny and dry as the clouds move out with the departing system. Temperatures will stay cool, hovering in the mid to upper 50s.
