Police in one Eastern Carolina town have arrested one man and are looking for another after a violent home invasion last night. One victim was hit on the side of the head with the butt of a rifle.
Grifton Police Chief Bryan Cauley says it happened around 11;00 p.m. on Hibernia Drive.
The chief says two gunmen forced their way into the home and demanded money, threatening to kill the victim if he didn't comply. The victim and several others managed to run into a bedroom and hold the door closed as one of the gunmen pushed on it, trying to get inside.
Cauley says a woman inside the bedroom yelled that she was on the phone with police and the two gunman ran.
The victim told police he knew the two robbers.
The chief says they have charged T.J. Rosenboro with first degree burglary, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault by pointing a gun and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
Cauley says Rosenboro turned himself in around 1:00 a.m.
Police are still looking for Quinton Norris, who they consider armed and dangerous.
If anyone has information about Norris, they should call Grifton police or Pitt-Greenville CrimeStoppers at 252-758-7777.
