Police say they have seized over 100 pounds of "high grade" marijuana, over $100,000 in cash and say they have broken up a drug trafficking organization that's been operating in Greenville for over ten years.
The Greenville Regional Drug Task Force says they made the arrests Tuesday night with the help of U.S. DEA agents after a four-month long investigation in marijuana trafficking in Greenville.
Four people were charged in the case:
Timothy Swain, 31 years old, of Greenville was charged with two counts of trafficking marijuana. He received a $250,000.00 secured bond.
Joseph Edwards, 28 years old, of Lumber Ridge was charged with one count of trafficking marijuana and received a $250,000.00 secured bond.
Brian Vazquez, 34 years old, of Longmont, Colorado was charged with conspiracy to traffic marijuana and received a $250,000.00 secured bond.
Brandon Mumford, 26 years old, of Greenville was charged with conspiracy to traffic in marijuana and received a $250,000.00 secured bond.
Police say the pot has a street value of $400,000.
