Police Arrest Two For Saturday Afternoon Robbery

Greenville Police have arrested two people in connection with a Saturday afternoon robbery.

Police say that it happened around 2 p.m. at a residence on Concord Drive. Arrested were Rebecca Buck and Newman Asubonteng.

According to police, a female knocked on the door of the victim. They say when the victim came to the door, he was assaulted by a man, and had his wallet taken. The two are said to have fled in the direction of Walmart.

The victim told police that the suspects were neighbors of his who had been recently evicted.

An investigation led police to the Motel 6 where the suspects were arrested.

Buck and Asubonteng were charged with Common Law Robbery, Breaking & Entering, 2nd Degree Trespassing, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
