A man found dead in a in a Petersburg, Virginia motel could be a man missing from Jacksonville, according to Petersburg police.

Petersburg police have not positively confirmed that information -- saying only that it appears to be the same person missing.

A vehicle the man parked at that Super 8 Motel has a Jacksonville dealer's name on it -- as well as Marine Corps apparel in the back window.

The body was found just after midnight Thursday.

Police in Petersburg say they were alerted to the room after running water breached an adjacent guest's room.
