Patchy Clouds And Sun For Sunday

Mostly sunny skies will have a few patchy areas of clouds, however conditions will be sunnier than they were on Saturday. Most of eastern Carolina will stay dry through the evening, with a very slight chance of light scattered showers along the northern Outer Banks. A low pressure system off the coast will kick up waves out along the coast, so if you are heading to the beach or doing some boating, you could encounter some rough chop.

As of 11:00 pm Saturday, Tropical Depression Eleven formed in the deep Atlantic. The storm was located at 25.2N, 50.2W and moving north at 9 mph. The system had winds just below tropical storm status, blowing at 35 mph. The storm is expected to intensify over the next 48 hours, however it will die out over the Atlantic as it continues to move north over cooler waters.
