Greenville police say a man they considered armed and dangerous has surrendered.
Shaquille Streeter, 19, turned himself into authorities at the Pitt County Detention Center around 9:30 p.m. Monday. He was wanted for assaulting his ex-girlfriend last week.
Streeter is charged with Breaking and Entering, Assault on a Female, 2 counts of Damage to Property, and Communicating Threats. His bond was set at $3,000.
Shaquille Streeter is accused of going to his ex-girlfriend's home and assaulting her. Police say the 19-year-old Streeter struck the woman in the face and repeatedly threatened to kill her while showing a handgun in his waistband.
Police say this happened Tuesday night on Lindsay Drive. Streeter is accused of taking the victim's cell phone with him and throwing it out on Arlington Boulevard. Police have since learned that Streeter is connected to two other cases with this same victim.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Streeter is asked to contact the Greenville Police Department at 252-329-4315.
