A Greenville man said he had to crawl to safety when bullets started to fly inside his home Tuesday night.
The man says he was lying on his couch around 10:00pm when he heard someone shooting outside his Dickinson Avenue home.
He says the bullets started to pierce through the door into his living room. He says he got off the couch and crawled to the back of his home and called police.
Greenville detectives say they found 13 shelling casings on the ground and a number of bullet holes in the front door.
The man who lives there says he doesn't understand why someone targeted his home, not once but twice that day.
Before the shooting, the man says someone kicked in his back door and stole items from his home.
According to the police report, officers say it may have been one suspects involved.
