POLICE: Juvenile In Custody After Attempted Armed Robbery

Greenville Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery at the Food Lion on Red Banks Road.

It happened about 5:15 Tuesday evening.

Kristen Hunter, Public Information Officer with Greenville Police, says a juvenile walked into the store with a knife and demanded money.

We're told the he wasn't able to get away with anything.

Hunter says someone inside the store called 911 and police arrived on scene within minutes.

Greenville Police took the 15-year-old juvenile into custody. He hasn't been identified because of his age.

No one was injured in the incident.
