Police said a man caused a three vehicle wreck Monday night and then left the scene, only to later be arrested and taken to jail.
Greenville Police tell WITN around 8:30 p.m. on Monday night, Anderson Watson was driving recklessly near the intersection of Millbrook Street and Memorial Drive.
Investigators said the man hit a sport utility vehicle, causing the SUV to turn over and hit another vehicle.
Police said after the wreck, Watson ran from the scene.
Police said a handful of people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators said a canine unit tracked down Watson not far from the scene and not long after the crash.
Watson was booked at the Pitt County Detention Center on charges of careless and reckless driving and fleeing the scene of a wreck with injuries.
Jailers said he posted his $25,000 bond and is due in court Tuesday morning.
