If you're an online student at some community colleges, things are not going so well on the first day of fall classes.
Pitt Community College says its system for online students is having problems, as well as other colleges in the state.
While the school says the site is having intermittent problems, some students say it hasn't been working at all.
A message posted on the college's website says the problem is due to Internet issues outside of PCC's control.
PCC says the problem is affecting all of the state's community colleges and is tied to a global Internet issue where some providers have experienced a slowdown in traffic.
The North Carolina Community College System sent out an alert Thursday of the possible problem.
