Outer Banks Man Charged With Making School Threats

An Outer Banks man is charged with making threats to a school earlier this month.

Stefan Schwartz of Buxton was arrested Wednesday by Dare County deputies. He's charged with making a false report that mass violence was going to occur on educational property, injury to personal property and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies say the threats were made February 11th against the Cape Hatteras Secondary School. Schartz was developed as a suspect and his home was searched. Deputies say no firearms or other destructive devices were seized.

The 26-year-old was jailed on a $204,000 bond and deputies say additional charges may be pending.
