NEW INFO: School Psychologist Cited For Shoplifting Resigns

An Onslow County children's psychologist steps down, after being charged with shoplifting.

Suzie Ulbrich with Onslow County Schools says 27-year-old Tanja Ilic resigned Monday morning, effective immediately.

Ilic's resignation was announced after a meeting with school officials.

Jacksonville Police say Ilic was cited with misdemeanor larceny, for a theft from Belk at the Jacksonville Mall in December.

Ilic's is due in court in March.

Jacksonville Police say 27-year-old Tanja ILic was cited with misdemeanor larceny for a theft from Belk at the Jacksonville Mall back in December.

Jacksonville Police posted surveillance pictures Facebook asking for help identifying the individual, and they say tipsters called the crimestoppers line to identify her.

ILic is an exceptional children school psychologist for the Onslow County School system and we're told she will meet Monday with school officials about her employment.

Her court date is set for March.
