Amid the recent conversations and debates about teacher tenures, bonus plans, and contracts for teachers, one school board is tackling the issue Friday morning.
The Onslow County School board is holding a special meeting at 9 a.m. Friday.
Officials said the plan is to present board members with information on teacher tenures, four year contracts, plus discuss Read to Achieve programs and the make-up day calendar.
The board will also go over facility needs and high school synchronization, according to a press release.
The Friday morning agenda also includes a closed session at the end of the meeting where a decision may be made public after.
