An Onslow County man is charged with statutory rape after deputies say he picked up two girls from a middle school.
The Onslow County Sheriff's Office says they recently got the report about the assault last month that 19 Jose Navarro-Vazquez of Midway Park and his 16 year old friend picked up two 15 year old girls at Hunters Creek Middle School. Investigators say Navarro-Vazquez drove to a playground where he smoked marijuana with the victim, took her into the woods, and raped her. His bond is set at $100,000.
