Onslow County deputies arrested a man for a hit-and-run incident early Saturday morning.
According to the sheriff's office, two pedestrians were hit by a vehicle at approximately 2 o'clock in the morning in the area of Holly Drive and Parkway Drive. Authorities say the vehicle continued on, hitting mailboxes and a utility pole along the way.
They say the driver fled the scene and later went to a home on Shamrock Drive where he woke the person inside to report that law enforcement was looking for him. He told the resident he needed to report the accident.
Deputies arrived and arrested Dillon Calicher without incident.
Calicher is in the Onslow County Jail under a $31,000 bond for multiple traffic violations.
Both pedestrians suffered no serious injuries, according to authorities.
