Onslow County's Christmas Cheer program is taking applications for those who need some help putting presents under the tree this Christmas for their kids.
Since the 1960's the community has donated presents and food to needy children and their families every Christmas.
If you want to apply for help you can do so from 10:00-2:00 Thursday and Friday. If you have to work you can also apply Thursday from 4:00-7:00.
To apply stop by the Christmas Cheer center at 1210 Hargett street in Jacksonville-- that's the former Piggly Wiggly store. You can also donate toys there.
