Troopers say five people were taken to the hospital this morning after a two car crash in eastern Beaufort County this morning.
It happened around 7:30 a.m. on Highway 33 near Aurora.
Troopers say a car was trying to turn left into a driveway, but didn't see an oncoming SUV.
Two of the five people injured were children in the car.
The Highway Patrol says the driver of the car will be charged with failure to yield the right of way.
Officials say two cars were involved in a bad crash on Highway 33 East near Big Hill Road near Aurora in Beaufort County. Each vehicle had three passengers inside, and there were children in each vehicle.
The passengers were transported to hospitals in Washington and New Bern. Officials could not comment on the severity of the injuries.
It's not clear if speed or the rain contributed to the crash.
Emergency officials said three ambulances were called to a bad wreck in Beaufort County around 7:30 a.m. Thursday.
Officials said the wreck was on Highway 33 East near Big Hill Road, just past the railroad tracks.
Crews are on scene now, working to get injured people out of vehicles and transported to the hospital.
