North Carolina Congressman Inducted Into Order Of The Long Leaf Pine

In recognition of his long-time devotion and service to the people of North Carolina, Congressman Mike McIntyre has been inducted into the state's prestigious Order of the Long Leaf Pine.

Announcement of his induction happened Monday at a district-wide appreciation celebration honoring McIntyre's Congressional service.

Since its creation in 1963, the Order of the Long Leaf Pine has been presented to honor persons who have a proven record of service to the State of North Carolina.

Congressman McIntyre's has served Eastern North Carolina for 18 years. The State of North Carolina inducted and Governor Pat McCrory authorized McIntyre to receive this special recognition.

The Order of the Long Leaf Pine is the State's highest civilian honor.
