Nintendo Wii U Off To A Sold-Out Start

Good luck getting your hands on the Nintendo Wii U, it's off to a sold-out start this holiday season.

Nintendo says it sold 400,000 units of its next generation console system in its first week, including Black Friday. Currently, the system is "essentially sold out" at retail stores across the country.

400,000 is a strong start for the Wii U, but it's short of the Wii's first week sales. Nintendo sold 475,000 of those systems during the same time period six years ago.
