New Year's Eve Forecast: Cloudy & Dry

Our New Year's Eve forecast is one that should have many event planners across eastern Carolina smiling. While temperatures will be chilly during (highs near 50°), we will stay dry throughout the day.

The clouds will roll in late in the afternoon, keeping overnight lows in the mid to upper 30s, making outdoor celebrations challenging, but doable. The clouds are expected to be a screen-like back drop for over head pyrotechnics as cloud heights will remain relatively high until Tuesday morning.

New Year's Day will be cloudy during the morning and wet in the afternoon, as showers are expected later in the day. The rain will be light and keep temperatures mild with highs in the mid 50s.
