Troopers say they need help finding the driver of a vehicle that rear-ended a car in Pitt County Tuesday night, sending five children to the hospital.
Investigators said around 8:30 Tuesday night, they were called to Highway 903 near the entrance to DSM Pharmaceuticals in Greenville.
Troopers said Tera Moe was driving a red car with her sister and their 5 children inside. Moe was turning into a driveway when they were rear-ended by a blue sport utility vehicle.
According to investigators, the five children in Moe's car were not properly restrained, and were hurt in the wreck. Troopers said four of those five children are under the age of seven.
The driver of the SUV left the scene and a total of six people had to be taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Troopers have charged Moe with improper restraint for the children, but they are looking for the driver of the SUV.
Investigators are asking the public to be on the lookout for a blue SUV with front end damage and red paint transfer.
If you see a vehicle fitting that description, you are asked to call the North Carolina State Highway Patrol Greenville Headquarters at (252)-758-5300.
