NC Billboard Pokes At Harold Camping

The christian radio host who insisted the world was going to end on Saturday, has a new doomsday date, October 21.

Harold camping spent millions on billboards warning, the world would end on May 21. He also said judgment day would come in 1994.

Check out the counter billboard that popped up Sunday in Greensboro, in Guilford county. It proclaimed, "That was awkward." And it included a verse from Matthew stating: "No one knows the day or the hour...".

The billboard was funded through an online campaign.

Maybe a tornado will come and take OSOC to heaven. Oddly enough, it would seem so much more heavenly here without him and his pre-Civil War opinions.

Just remember, the last words of a dying man "Oh God". He does get the last word though...good luck with that theory both of you have. Its like the lottery....its really great to win while you are can live off it a long time or go into the poor house by pssn it away. Seems to me, you are pssn the opportunity away with your comments before you even get a choice. Hint, they don't have icewater there...hope that helps.

So you watch Fox News too? The number one trusted station in the country with the number 1,2 and 3 rated shows? Yeah...ole NBC is a bottom dweller at 8% viewers at 5 pm...I only catch the local news witn for good stuff. Well, the latest polls showed that MSNBC is also in the tanks...going the way of AirAmerica...yeah, those dolts. Even NPR is dropped in ratings and just goes to show those idiots spinmasters get exposed for their quivering thighs comments....ya no wadda I mean.

University Study: Fox Viewers More Misinformed, Fox news distances itself from Glenn Beck. Viewership down 50%, Fox loses more than 200 sponsors.

Any belief in any supernatural, supreme being is pure folly. This includes fringe eccentrics such as Camping and so called mainstream believers and new age unitarians as well. No amount of tithing or praying is going to get you in to some mythological heaven because there is no heaven nor hell nor life after death. PERIOD!

I'm going to live my life as if there is a heaven, if you chose not, that's your choice. But when the day comes, you will wish you had. There will be no ice water for you!!!!

One thing is certain. I would rather die and find out there is no hell than to live like a fool and find out there is.

I guess its like the lottery- you can't win if you don't play! Sounds good and all, but that would only make sense if Christianity were the only religion on earth. Since there are many other religions you aren't following, you only have let's say one in a thousand chance of going to heaven, whereas atheists have 0 in a thousand chance. Not that much better odds my friend. Go by your own lottery logic and increase your odds... join all the religions you can find and you will be immune to any version of hell!

Why would anybody waste their money on a billboard like this? It's just as foolish as the person they are trying to lampoon.

So people who go to comedy shows for entertainment are fools? If people gave a few bucks to get a chuckle at this morons expense who cares. Lighten up.

Another tax free rip-off artist at work. Tax all non-profit organizations including the religious groups who manage to collect enough money to build mansions and drive top line luxury cars.

Tell em'. Every religious group should be subject to taxes. There are more corrupt groups than good.

Harold Camping is only doing in a short time frame, what the mainline christian denominations have been doing for years. Ever seen "wills emphasis" workshops at your church? Do you realize they want a piece? You'll know god this way: he won't need a new building, and he won't take your money and put it in an organ endowment fund.

This is Capitalism at its best. Its the Republican mantra. Drum up an idea that sounds fluffy (drill baby drill), exploit the uninformed/poor (Louisiana fishermen support oil because it brings jobs and the chance of prosperity to the region), take their money (oil spill happens, slow response, years of damage and not much help to those affected),???, profit! Of course he just lied to give people a sense of self worth and like they had something to live for, but still it is basically the same. He is living the American Dream!

So since you hate capitalism so much I guess you want to get your check from the government. Socialism, it takes away any incentive for hard work and to make yourself better. Just hold your had out and Socialist government will put some sort of check in it and later dictate how your are allowed to spend it and what you can spend it on. But hey you libs are all for socialism. It what you dream of every night.

HAHA I was not making a statement against capitalism, I was just simply stating that he was exploiting/working the system for the benefit of himself - survival of the fittest, if you will. He played the game, many people drank the kool aid, and now he is a rich 89 year old man with a tax-shelter "church". Oh if we were all so smart.
