Mother, Son Charged With Medicare, Medicaid Fraud

An ambulance company owner fro Perquimans County and her son have been indicted in a healthcare fraud conspiracy.

Phyllis Harrel and her son Paul Trueblood are facing 68 charges. The mother and son from Belvidere are accused of fraudulently billing medicare and medicaid through Harrel Medical Transport: A company owned by Phyllis Harrell. If convicted, they could spend the rest of their lives in prison and pay millions in fines.
