The body of a man, who is said to have went missing while canoeing just days before Christmas, has been recovered in Currituck County.
Affiliate WAVY is reporting the body of Ricky Ballance was recovered by Currituck County Sheriff’s Deputies around 12:30 Sunday afternoon after some of the man’s relatives found his body in Coinjock Bay.
Ballance is said to have gone out for a 30 minute canoe trip in Coinjock Bay on December 23rd but never returned home.
