Match Day For ECU Medical Students

Friday was an important day for many following a path in the medical field as medical students learned where they will spend the next few years as doctors-in-training.

At ECU, 69 graduating medical students learned where they are headed at the event held at the Brody Medical Sciences Building.

Nearly 58 percent of them chose primary care residencies.

Altogether, this year's ECU graduates are going to 22 states. 43 percent of them are staying in North Carolina, with 14 graduating students matched into residencies at ECU and Vidant Medical Center.
