Marines Help Beaufort Police Make Arrest


Beaufort Police say two Marines helped hold a man until police could get there after they saw him toss outdoor furniture into the creek and destroy planters along the boardwalk.

Police say 27-year-old Charles Walker of Beaufort was arrested around 2:00 a.m. Saturday for drunk and disruptive behavior and injury to personal property.

Police say they got to the boardwalk on Front Street to find two Marines detaining Walker.

The Marines are identified as Antonio Hernandez and Neville Ramirez.

Walker's bond was set at $700.00.
