Two Suspects Attempt To Rob Family In Greenville

Greenville police say that an attempted armed robbery took place at a home in the city.

WITN had been reporting that a suspect posed as a mail carrier, and forced their way into the home, but police say that was a misprint on the police report.

The crime was reported at Fletcher Place, which is off Greenville Blvd. on the east side of Greenville Saturday night. Greenville police say that two men knocked on the front door around 8:40pm. An 18-year-old at the home answered the door, that’s when the two supects demanded money. The 18-year-old yelled for his father. When the father appeared the two men fled.

No one was hurt.

As always, you can call Pitt-Greenville Crime Stoppers at (252) 758-7777.
