The search for a 19-year-old shooting suspect is over after U.S. Marshals arrested the teen on Thursday.
Jailers at the Lenoir County Jail confirmed with WITN that 19-year-old Deriante Rouse was arrested Thursday.
On May 31st, Kinston Police named Rouse as a suspect in a shooting outside Sasparillas Nightclub on North Queen Street.
Police said they got a call a little after 3 a.m. that Saturday to find 21-year-old Jevonte Jones was shot in the arm and 21-year-old Koreyevel Barnes shot in his upper thigh.
Investigators said Rouse shot both men in the parking lot of the night club then took off.
Kinston Police had warrants out for Rouse's arrest shortly after the shooting.
According to Kinston Police, the U.S. Marshals tracked Rouse to Greenville on Thursday afternoon and arrested him, transporting him back to Lenoir County.
Rouse is now charged with assault with a deadly weapon intent to kill, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, and a probation violating.
His bond was set at $160,000 ahead of a first court appearance. Deputies said that was scheduled for Friday.
The search is on for a teen that police say shot 2 people outside of a nightclub in the east.
