Man Killed In Asheville's 1st Homicide Of 2013

Police say a 35-year-old man has been killed after an argument in a public housing complex in Asheville.

Investigators said Fabian Ruffin died shortly after he was shot around 2:30 p.m. Saturday outside one of the complex's buildings. It is Asheville's first homicide of 2013.

Witnesses told police they heard three gunshots and Ruffin was hit at least once in the head.

Investigators say they have spoken to some witnesses and hope to identify a suspect soon. They also are still trying to determine a motive for the killing.
